We’re (Still) Here!
With all the hustle and bustle and chaos happening within the last few weeks due to COVID-19, it’s easy to think that campus ministries fell off the map. However, that’s not true at all! We’re still working to make campus ministry great — the only difference now is that we have gone virtual! In order to continue to be a place for students to “be and become,” we have been hosting the following Zoom events each week:
- Sunday evening Vespers
- Mental Health Mondays
- online and “walkabout” Office Hours
- small groups, service projects, and more!
Financially, this is a hard time – Covid seems to be affecting everyone in some way. This is no different at the Wesley Foundation. While we are activity making budget cuts, we are also committed to continue to pay our staff and contract workers. This includes Sheila, our hard-working administrative assistant, as well as our building cleaners. We see this as a justice-issue, and Wesley is committed to doing our part to make sure these individuals are taken care of!
All that said, WE STILL NEED YOUR SUPPORT in prayers and in dollars! We ask that you consider making a one time gift or a recurring gift to help us continue to pay staff and allow ministry to flourish. We ask you to think about expenses that you may no longer have – that cup of coffee you used to purchase each day or the gas you don’t have to put into your car – and consider reallocating those dollars to the Wesley Foundation!
We thank you for your continued support during an unprecedented time for all of us. We’ll make it through this together!
