Cranky Beautiful Real Grace-filled…The next small group with our campus minister

Cranky Beautiful Real Grace-filled, a small group discussion led by our campus minister, Deborah Lewis. Yep, that’s a mouthful but it seems the best way to describe our reading and discussion group, focusing on the new book by Nadia Bolz-Weber, “Pastrix:  The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner and Saint.”  What does it mean to be both sinner and saint simultaneously?  How does it look to live life with a vibrant, guiding vision of God’s grace?  Do you have to have tattoos to be as cool as Nadia Bolz-Weber?  We’ll have short, easy readings from the book for each week of our study and we’ll gather for an hour each week to share ideas, insights, and the challenge of living as Christians in the real world.  Books are free and you can pick yours up in the Upper Room at Wesley.  For a sneak peak (listen?) to Nadia’s unique voice, check out this podcast interview.  This is a group for everyone, from first year to grad student. Wednesdays 7:30-8:30pm, 4 weeks beginning 10/23.  Come join us as we ponder, discuss, and pray together each week.
