Hello Everyone,
Don’t forget to keep bringing in non-perishable food items for Hoos Pantry! It’s Holy Week, so be sure to look through this schedule for the extra worship services we’re having. Just a reminder, it’s never too late to start coming to any of our events, so if you missed the first couple meetings of small groups or dinner it’s okay, we still want you to come! For those who haven’t found us yet, the Foundation building is located across from Mem Gym at the corner of Emmet Street and Lewis Mountain Road, and it is open from 9am – midnight every day. I can’t wait to see you around! Here’s what’s going on this week!
Sunday, March 24 – Palm Sunday
11:00am – Worship at Wesley Memorial UMC.
2:30pm – SCC meeting
5:00pm – Informal worship: Join us in the Foundation dining room for a worship service featuring our student-led music team and a message from our campus minister Deborah. Come as you are, dressed however you like!
10:00pm – IM softball: Join us for softball, no skills or equipment required! Meet at the Foundation at 9:30pm and bring your student ID!
Monday, March 25
7:00pm – Women’s Small Group 1: A small group for the women of Wesley to come together in faith and fellowship. Led by Aida Barnes (amb7hh) and Kate Thrasher (ket3mf), it meets in the living room.
8:15pm – Methodists with Muscles: meet in the game room for a short devotional followed by a sports-related activity. Wear athletic attire and bring your student ID.
Tuesday, March 26
6:30pm – Residential Community meeting
7:00pm – Women’s Small Group 2: A small group for the women of Wesley to come together in faith and fellowship. Led by Jacqui Chiminello (jrc2ef) and Alex Ziehm (acz7hd), it meets in the living room.
8:00pm – Delta Force (Men’s Small Group): A small group for the men of Wesley to come together in faith and fellowship. Led by Thomas Roehl (tmr9ad) and Matt Paysour (mjp3xy), it meets in the game room.
Wednesday, March 27
Deborah out for sermon preparation and study.
5:15pm – Graduate and Young Adult Fellowship: a small group for graduate students and other young adults. Led by Aaron Stiles (aws6z), it meets in the game room.
Thursday, March 28 – Maundy Thursday
6:00pm – Free home-cooked dinner in the Foundation dining room, followed by Maundy Thursday worship.
Friday, March 29 – Good Friday
12:00pm – Good Friday worship service on the lawn of Wesley Mem (inside the sanctuary if it rains).
Sunday, March 31 – Easter!
5:00am – Easter sunrise hike and worship at Humpback Rocks. Meet at the Foundation at 5am. Check the website before you come if it’s raining, the rain site/time is 6:30am in the Foundation.
9:00am – Easter worship at Wesley Memorial UMC.
10:00am – Breakfast at Wesley Memorial UMC.
11:00am – Easter worship at Wesley Memorial UMC.
5:00pm – Easter evensong worship
