Wesley this Week…

Hello Everyone,


I hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall colors around grounds! For those who haven’t found us yet, the Foundation building is located across from Mem Gym at the corner of Emmet Street and Lewis Mountain Road, and it is open from 9am – midnight every day (except home football game days). I can’t wait to see you around! Here’s what’s going on this week!


Sunday, November 4

11:00am – Worship Troupe at Wesley Memorial UMC.

5:00pm – Informal worship: Join us in the Foundation dining room for a worship service featuring our student-led music team and a message from our campus minister Deborah. Come as you are, dressed however you like!

6:00pm – Spring Break interest meeting

9:30pmIM Soccer: Meet at the Foundation at 9:30pm to head to the Park for our first IM soccer playoff game. Make sure to bring your student ID!


Monday, November 5

7:00pm – Graduate and Young Adult Fellowship: a small group for graduate students and other young adults. Led by Aaron Stiles (aws6z).


Tuesday, November 6

Deborah out for sermon preparation and study.

8:00pm – Faces of Faith Group 1: a small group for first years designed to help the adjustment to college life. Led by Erica Ridgell (elr7ju) and Ryan LaRock (rsl4gp), it meets in the living room.


Wednesday, November 7

8:00pm – Faces of Faith Group 2: a small group for first years designed to help the adjustment to college life. Led by Patrick Ormond (pco8ec) and Sarah Clifton (skc5np), it meets in the living room.
Thursday, November 8

3-5pm – Deborah’s walk-in office hours this week. If you want to meet with her at another time just email her! deborahATwesleyatuva.org

6:00pm – Free home-cooked dinner in the Foundation dining room.

6:45pm – Forum: Deborah will be leading us in the last of three Bible Study forums. We will be talking about “unsavory heroes.” Intrigued? Join us in the living room!

7:45pm – Faith in Film


Sunday, November 11

11:00am – Worship at Wesley Memorial UMC.

*No informal worship because many of us will be visiting Fluvanna Women’s Correctional Center to lead them in a worship service.


Upcoming events:

Thursday, November 15thPre-Thanksgiving dinner; note that it will be at 5:15pm so we can go to the football game afterwards! Sign up on the Fellowship board to bring food!
