I hope that you stayed relatively dry this weekend! Even though the rain put a damper on the game, it did result in some beautiful rainbows over Lambeth field. Here’s what’s happening at Wesley this week (New/Highlighted events are in bold/italics):
Sunday, October 25
11 am – Worship Service at Wesley Memorial
12:15 – 5:30 pm – Trip to Shalom Farms – Meet at the Foundation at 12:15 for a bagel lunch, then head to Shalom Farms near Richmond to help winterize the farm.
6 pm – Informal Worship Service at the Wesley Foundation, WF Alum David Vaughan preaching, followed by dinner on the town
Monday, October 26
Deborah’s day off
6 pm – Residential Community Meeting
6 – 7 pm – IM Soccer at the “Park,” meet at the Foundation at 5:30 **NEW TIME** for rides, bring your ID and wear tennis shoes or cleats/shinguards
8 pm – Grad Group – a ministry for Graduate students, contact Amy Moses (arm8h) for more info
8 pm – Faces of Faith (Group 1), a small group for first-year undergrads, led by Matt Hunt (mrh8h) and Becca Worley (rjw5x). We are offering two different sessions so that you may find one that best fits your schedule.
Tuesday, October 27
12:30 pm – Lunch at the Pav – Meet in Pavilion XI on the lower level of Newcomb for lunch and fellowship. Buy lunch there or bring your own.
6:30 pm – No Christian Family Tree Study tonight – join us again next week.
Wednesday, October 28
2-4 pm – No office hours for Deborah today.
5-6 pm – Free, drop-in yoga class in the Living Room
6 pm – Faces of Faith (Group 2), a small group for first-year undergrads, led by Paul Pletcher (pdp3c) and Jenny Burks (jlb7cn).
7:30 pm – SCC Dinner
8:30 pm – Methodists with Muscles, led by Annie Bailey (amb9um). Meet in the game room, wear tennis shoes/gym attire, and bring your student ID.
Thursday, October 29
6 pm – FREE homemade dinner in the Foundation Dining Room
7 pm – FORUM: Joey Portzer, Melissa Holmes, et al – Spiritual Leadership
8 pm – Spring Break Interest Meeting – Meet in the living room for a brief informational meeting about this year’s spring break mission trip to Washington, D.C. Students, administrative board members, and community members are welcome. Contact Nina Ruhter (nwr2e) for more information.
