This Week at Wesley…

I hope you stayed dry this weekend! There’s a lot happening this last week before fall break — take a study break with us 🙂 Here’s what’s happening (New/Highlighted events are in bold/italics):

Sunday, September 27

11 am – Worship at Wesley Memorial
12ish – Fellowship Lunch after Wesley Mem Service – meet in the back of the Sanctuary
6 pm – Informal Worship Service at the Wesley Foundation, followed by dinner on the town

Monday, September 28
Deborah at Board of Higher Education Ministries meeting in Richmond

8 pm – Grad Group – a ministry for Graduate students, contact Amy Moses (arm8h) for more info

8 pm – Faces of Faith (Group 1), a small group for first-year undergrads, led by Matt Hunt (mrh8h) and Becca Worley (rjw5x).  We are offering two different sessions so that you may find one that best fits your schedule.

Tuesday, September 29

Deborah out of the office for study and sermon preparation
12:30 pm – Lunch at the Pav – Meet in Pavilion XI on the lower level of Newcomb for lunch and fellowship.  Buy lunch there or bring your own.

6:30 pm – Christian Family Tree Study – Presbyterianism – We’ll take a look at the similarities and differences among Christian denominations, learning a lot about our brothers and sisters in Christ, and learning in the process more about ourselves and the United Methodist branch of the tree.  We’ll meet in the Upper Room.
8 pm Residential Community meeting

Wednesday, September 30

2-4 pm – Deborah’s drop-in office hours, Email her to meet at other times:

5-6 pm – Free, drop-in yoga class in the Living Room
6 pm – Faces of Faith (Group 2), a small group for first-year undergrads, led by Paul Pletcher (pdp3c) and Jenny Burks (jlb7cn).
6 pm – 7pm  Administrative Board “Listening Post” meeting
8:30 pm – Methodists with Muscles, led by Annie Bailey (amb9um).  Meet in the game room, wear tennis shoes/gym attire, and bring your student ID.

Thursday, October 1

*U2 Concert*

6 pm – FREE homemade dinner in the Foundation Dining Room
7 pm – Fellowship Time – Walk/Game Room Activities

Friday, October 2

Deborah in Richmond at Bishop’s retreat for extension ministers

Saturday, October 3


Sunday, October 4 (just a heads up)

11 am – Worship at Wesley Memorial
