Lisa Russ Spaar won the Carole Weinstein Prize in Poetry in 2011, the Library of Virginia’s poetry prize in 2009 for Satin Cash, and is the author of 5 books of poetry and 2 anthologies. She is a professor in the English Department, where she directs the Area Program in Poetry Writing.
